- thoughtful - evocative - compressed - AND elegant
:) thanks for the kindness, though I do declare I didn't have a hand in the last! Blogger turned it into elegance :D
and compressed thing - it made realize, I've always been impatient with "too much". it's so much... more powerful when it's been pared down, stripped to its essentials.
however, like i always think - i have a long way to go before i can dream of being a poet/writer like david whyte or mary oliver.
p.s. i have been experimenting with the stream-of-consciousness kind of thing you mentioned earlier. will e-mail you about that sometime. love ya, old G. :)

richard! :P
I don't know why you like the stuff that I write. But I love it!
this is exactly how I've been feeling for some time now. Was wondering if it would make sense to somebody outside of me or not :)
Thanks.
P.S. Was re-reading your 11 page 'letter' to me on your favourite authors :) I want to read On The Road. Will be on a lookout.
i like this one because it's thoughtful, evocotive, and compressed. all the things poetry should be - how about that?
oh, and it looks elegant on the page...
- thoughtful
- evocative
- compressed
- AND elegant
